What would be the best choice for buying a PDA?

What is the best handheld organizer that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? I would like to get one for my husband to keep up with his business information. I’ve thought about a Palm but I have recieved mixed reviews. Does the Ipod touch hold that kind of information? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Go for the moto Q11 it has wifi wont be out tell december but i ll give you the link www.motorolaQ11.com

Verizon Wireless PDA /Blackberry ???

I need to upgrade my PDA, I’m not sure which one of these is good.
Any comments,reviews,experiences??>??? thanks

1.Verizon Wireless XV6900
2.Samsung Omnia™
3.HTC Touch Pro™
4.BlackBerry® Storm™ 9530 smartphone
Jamal, thanks for the info :) isn’t the Palm Pre through Sprint?

1. XV6900 is a solid phone but not so much for Verizon, especially since its GPS functions are disabled and unlike other carriers it doesn’t have wifi, on top of that it’s soon to be discontinued as evidenced by the treo pro.

2. The Omnia is perhaps the most solid and has the best processor of any windows mobile phone for verizon. it has built in wifi, radio, memory, etc. this is your best bet. If windows mobile didn’t suck so much it would probably knock the iphone out.

3. The touch pro has a wonderful keyboard, interface, you name it, it is an HTC after all. This phone is also very solid, although if you want battery life this phone will die pretty quickly.

4. The blackberry storm is basically a good idea but it hasn’t been fulfilled to the tee. The only problem I can find with this is the buggy blackberry software and the lag that comes along with any full touch device.

If I were you I’d just hold out for the Palm Pre coming for spring, it’s touch screen is basically the iphones and from what Ive heard its a definite iphone killer. I’d also check out some of the Alltel phones since they are basically verizon now and they do have the Treo Pro. Also check out http://www.cnet.com for reviews on the phones your looking at. Hope I helped.

Are McDonald’s WiFi hotspots left on all night?

I’ve heard that McDonald’s restaurants now offer free WiFi. Does anybody know if the McDonald’s restaurants in the SF Bay Area leave their WiFi hotspots active even during the hours when the restaurants are closed? I’m hoping I can sit in their parking lots in the middle of the night and use their WiFi.

Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks…

NO at most.

Try each && find out.

Say hello to the nice policeman (and others that work parking lots at night!)

How can I connect to free wifi hotspots with my laptop?

I’m talking about free wireless in cafes, pubs, parks etc. I have tried once and my laptop said it was connected but it wasn’t. Do I need anything other than the password of the internet service?
My laptop is pretty new, it has wireless lan and everything. At home I connect through wireless router.

You should be able to pick up the wireless network in a cafe or place were WiFi is available as long as you have a wireless card installed in your laptop. Check this website for more information.

What PDA is best for me??

I am a college student who mostly needs it for task reminders, scheduling, email, and web browsing (but entertainment doesnt hurt) I am deciding between the Dell axim x51, the Palm TX and the HP 4000 series. I am leaning toward the Palm becuase it got such good reviews and it does everything i need it to, but the dell and HP seem like they might be better quality. I want something that makes task managment easy and has wifi, a voice recorder, and preferably a long battery life. Any suggestions? I’m not opposed to looking into the prospect of other PDAs, but these are the three i found that seem to best suit me. I am looking on ebay and trying to keep it under $230

Those HTCs look awesome and blackberries are pretty nice too, but i’m not looking to get a new phone. I tend to be too hard on phones becuase i’m constantly using them. i just need the PDA to take quick notes, set date reminders, and occasionally check email and web browse. I dont plan on using it nearly as much as i use my phone!

I have HTC TyTN II, its an amazing phone with what u r looking for and much more…. but it is a bit expensive than $230.
Any ways… goto this website.. www.gsmareana.com.

This site has one of the best reviews and features of almost all phones available atm.
And one more suggestion….. just dont look for dell, Palm or Hp….. O2 and HTC are two more brands that you might like…

cheers…
