Compare Mobile Phones: you Have Got the Right

Mobile phones are undoubtedly, one of the better inventions of 21st century with their inimitable technological prowess. Mobile phones have simplified our lives with their endless features. They have redefined communications, mobility and entertainment. They have brought into existence the concept of portable music players and TV’s. Apparently, mobile phones are a vital part of our lives now.

Gone are those days, when it used to be a daunting task to compare mobile phones in terms of looks and features. Now, internet will do this task for you. There are innumerable internet sites catering to this purpose. Mobile review sites and blogs examine each and every handset in terms of features and then give a ranking to handsets, also taking into consideration user’s opinions. Users can complain regarding cranky keypads, low battery lives and poor network services.

Nowadays, a plethora of online mobile shops have also sprung up. To buy a hot gizmo, all you need to do, is to log to any of these shops and you can get a handset at incredibly low rental rates and amazing tariff plans. All the handset makers, whether it’s Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG or Motorola have now made their products available online through different merchants and their affiliates.

Various mobile phone deals are available like contract mobile phone deals and pay-as-you-go deals. You can also get handsets sim-free i.e. without any connection. In contract mobile phone deals, after paying a minimal security deposit, you can enter into a contract with the service provider. Entering into a contract may not be desirable but there are tremendous advantages during the contract period. You can benefit from low network-to-network call rates, free roaming and low call rates. At the end of the contract period, one can comfortably switch to a higher plan. Undoubtedly, contract mobile phone deals are the most convenient way to avail a mobile phone now.

Online mobile sites also offer you the freedom of comparing different deals. You can compare mobile phone deals in terms of incentives offered and the costs. With so many deals, it gets quite confusing to pick the best. Due prudence and adequate knowledge of your own short-term and long-term needs is required for making the right choice.

What is the best Satellite Navigation software for mobile phones?

I am looking to purchase the new Nokia N95 in a couple of weeks which comes complete with in-built GPS. But what is the best sat-nav software to use on a mobile?

Cheers.

I would go for Tom Tom because of the ease of new maps and add ons, plus it is so easy to use.

However the Nokia Smart2Go software is available and free so it is a tough call.

I would say try the Nokia offering also but if it doesn’t suit invest in Tom Tom as its the best

What is the best smartphone aka pda phone?

The pda phones with the best reviews I’ve seen so far are 1)Nokia E61 / N70 2)Sony Ericsson K750i / S700i / W800i 3)PalmOne Treo 600.

What do you think of those? Is there one better than them? I’m looking for a nice mix of pda functionality and multimedia options.

Ideal features are PC sync, speakerphone, international, bluetooth, and wi-fi.

I don’t care about what service it uses as long as it’s unlockable. Price is no object.

THANKS!!!

i love the motorola Q.. verizon

Looking for a new cheap mobile phone/pda or smart-phone WITH WIFI.?

Im looking foward to buy a new handset till next month or on christmas but i can’t find a good one. The one’s I have in mind seem to have some flaws that worry me. The first one is the Nokia C3, it looks like a good phone with a querty keyboard, though from the reviews I read it seems that the Operating system is outdated and it costs 109€ . The second one is the Samsung Monte. It’s a touch screen smart phone. The design is great, but many people complains about the browser not opening some web pages due to flash problems and due to the phone’s RAM. It also seems to have low battery life (300h stand-by compared to the 800 hours of the C3) it’s also the most expensive of the 3 (129€) . Finally the one i prefer. The HTC Touch Viva its also a touch screen pda equipped with windows mobile 6.1 pro. I would have already bought it but i can’t find it anywhere and i don’t want to buy it on the internet (i live in portugal). It costs (115€). So if you can help pick one of this 3, or advise a new one please do. Take in consideration that it’s price should be less than 150€and it must have WI-FI and Mp3/Music player.

monte is great

Is there any way to get internet all the time, anywhere on your ipod touch without wifi hotspots? ?

I`ve had my iPod for a week and i love it!! Especially with the software update. but to get full use of it, i need internet, but i don’t have it!! any way to get it without going to a wifi hotspot all the time?

You need a hotspot, for sure. But there is a way to have a hotspot with you all the time.

The solution is perfect for folks who travel a lot and want high speed "3G" internet access while on the road for their laptops or their gadgets like an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch, or a Sony PSP/Mylo/PS3, or Nintendo Wii/DS or Nokia 770/800/810 tablet, an Archos 605 WiFi, or even the Chumby… take a look at this article:

http://www.evdoinfo.com/ipodtouch

its also a good way to get "3G" speeds on any iPhone! and faster than AT&T!

Is there an iPhone virus risk? Where to get antivirus software for mobile?

Is the iPhone virus a problem?

I have Nokia 5230 model mobile; I wish to install an antivirus software for my mobile;
1)Which is the best mobile antivirus?
2) Is it good to use antivirus for mobile?
3) Where can I download it? What about an iPhone virus?

Generally for ‘feature’ phones like this (ie a non-smartphone type) you will never get a iPhone virus. The mobile space has been blessedly empty of this sort of threat. At one time Bluetooth was considered a way to deliver a virus payload to a phone, but this has so far proved impracticable. The bigger threat to phones today is malware delivered via downloaded application, such as through Apple’s iTunes App Store or the Android Market. A person with a modicum of dev ability could, if he so desired, craft a ‘free’ app that looks awesome and does some innocuous thing like act as, say, a flashlight… This app would operate exactly as described, but with one small, unnoticeable addition – a keylogger.

Most authorities do not believe that an iPhone virus will be a problem.

Any password you enter into your mobile phone would be uploaded to some remote website in a foreign country… and you know the rest. Generally, however, Apple’s developer/ application vetting process makes the probability of this happening very low, but in the future it could be a problem.

iPhone virus not much of a problem.
