Verizon Wireless PDA /Blackberry ???

I need to upgrade my PDA, I’m not sure which one of these is good.
Any comments,reviews,experiences??>??? thanks

1.Verizon Wireless XV6900
2.Samsung Omnia™
3.HTC Touch Pro™
4.BlackBerry® Storm™ 9530 smartphone
Jamal, thanks for the info :) isn’t the Palm Pre through Sprint?

1. XV6900 is a solid phone but not so much for Verizon, especially since its GPS functions are disabled and unlike other carriers it doesn’t have wifi, on top of that it’s soon to be discontinued as evidenced by the treo pro.

2. The Omnia is perhaps the most solid and has the best processor of any windows mobile phone for verizon. it has built in wifi, radio, memory, etc. this is your best bet. If windows mobile didn’t suck so much it would probably knock the iphone out.

3. The touch pro has a wonderful keyboard, interface, you name it, it is an HTC after all. This phone is also very solid, although if you want battery life this phone will die pretty quickly.

4. The blackberry storm is basically a good idea but it hasn’t been fulfilled to the tee. The only problem I can find with this is the buggy blackberry software and the lag that comes along with any full touch device.

If I were you I’d just hold out for the Palm Pre coming for spring, it’s touch screen is basically the iphones and from what Ive heard its a definite iphone killer. I’d also check out some of the Alltel phones since they are basically verizon now and they do have the Treo Pro. Also check out http://www.cnet.com for reviews on the phones your looking at. Hope I helped.

What is the best PDA/Phone?

I’m in need of a new PDA. I have the first HTC Tilt that came out, and it got wet and is now toast.

So… I’m back in the market. I saw that they have a new TILT 2, but I want to try something different.
I know I shouldn’t dare say this in front of the wrong people but the IPhone 3GS, is pretty appealing.
It seems to be the best multimedia machine out there. However… Is there better? I even read about the Android, and they said it was very good, but the camera sucked ***, and in the review it even said the new Iphones had a better camera.

I guess I am looking more for multimedia applications. Having Word and stuff is cool, but I’m more into "toys" than business applications.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Android devices all the way- Iphone is proprietary and annoying to work with.

What PDA is best for me??

I am a college student who mostly needs it for task reminders, scheduling, email, and web browsing (but entertainment doesnt hurt) I am deciding between the Dell axim x51, the Palm TX and the HP 4000 series. I am leaning toward the Palm becuase it got such good reviews and it does everything i need it to, but the dell and HP seem like they might be better quality. I want something that makes task managment easy and has wifi, a voice recorder, and preferably a long battery life. Any suggestions? I’m not opposed to looking into the prospect of other PDAs, but these are the three i found that seem to best suit me. I am looking on ebay and trying to keep it under $230

Those HTCs look awesome and blackberries are pretty nice too, but i’m not looking to get a new phone. I tend to be too hard on phones becuase i’m constantly using them. i just need the PDA to take quick notes, set date reminders, and occasionally check email and web browse. I dont plan on using it nearly as much as i use my phone!

I have HTC TyTN II, its an amazing phone with what u r looking for and much more…. but it is a bit expensive than $230.
Any ways… goto this website.. www.gsmareana.com.

This site has one of the best reviews and features of almost all phones available atm.
And one more suggestion….. just dont look for dell, Palm or Hp….. O2 and HTC are two more brands that you might like…

cheers…

Looking for a new cheap mobile phone/pda or smart-phone WITH WIFI.?

Im looking foward to buy a new handset till next month or on christmas but i can’t find a good one. The one’s I have in mind seem to have some flaws that worry me. The first one is the Nokia C3, it looks like a good phone with a querty keyboard, though from the reviews I read it seems that the Operating system is outdated and it costs 109€ . The second one is the Samsung Monte. It’s a touch screen smart phone. The design is great, but many people complains about the browser not opening some web pages due to flash problems and due to the phone’s RAM. It also seems to have low battery life (300h stand-by compared to the 800 hours of the C3) it’s also the most expensive of the 3 (129€) . Finally the one i prefer. The HTC Touch Viva its also a touch screen pda equipped with windows mobile 6.1 pro. I would have already bought it but i can’t find it anywhere and i don’t want to buy it on the internet (i live in portugal). It costs (115€). So if you can help pick one of this 3, or advise a new one please do. Take in consideration that it’s price should be less than 150€and it must have WI-FI and Mp3/Music player.

monte is great

Why Is It That Sprint Sucks So Badly?!?

The latest Sprint commercials – they’re horrendous.

The most recent round of Sprint commercials are a rehash of an older marketing ploy – the black-and-white Dan-Hesse-saying-Sprint-is-awesome type. You know the ones. Ol’ Danny Boy looking trustworthy and sophisticated standing on the street in his trench coat, talking about how Sprint’s Web-connected phones are ‘truly unlimited, no caps, no throttling’. Please note that he never mentions their voice call quality or their godawful network outside of larger cities… Why? Because the Sprint rural network is pretty much pathetic, and their customer service is abhorrent.

But Sprint has exclusives on some awesome phones, you say!

The HTC Evo? Sure, it runs Android, which is in itself awesome, but hardware wise, it’s last generation. Plenty of devices run rings around it – the HTC Inspire, for one. Delightful phone, won’t run on CDMA. The Evo needs a network to run ON, and lots of times, it just doesn’t happen because Sprint is trying to invest in Clearwire, and they’ve all but stopped trying to invest money in actual 3G or god forbid, CDMA2000 to carry voice calls.

Sprint’s pricing is teh awesome!

Whatever. You get what you pay for. Same issue with T-Mobile. I dare say that investing $9995 in a Chevrolet Aveo will get you poorer results, long term, than spending $30,000 on a nice BMW. They have to compete on pricing compared to Verizon and AT&T, since the Sprint network is less developed (unless you live in Overland Park, Kansas, since that’s where Sprint is located). Right now they’re running a distant third place in the US to VZ and T… and T-Mobile is right on their heels. Assuming the AT&T-Mobile merger goes through, Sprint will be in a much worse position.

Well, OK, Sprint DOES have pretty bad customer service.

And in the wireless industry, that is saying something. JD Powers rankings usually show Sprint down at the bottom of the barrel, with AT&T… But AT&T has been investing in retraining CSRs and generally making the relationship with their customers a better one. They’ve improved steadily over the last several quarters. Sprint has stayed flat to declined. My few interactions with Sprint have been horrific, but then again that was with a Sprint affiliate, not Sprint itself.
