Mobile Video Upload: Bringing People Closer to One Another

What we all fear when distance – physical distance – is placed between us and the ones we love is that an unwished for phenomenon should ensue. The consequence we fear is the alienation from the people with whom we once used to spend all of our time. Fortunately enough, the uplift manifest in communication technologies these days can serve as a reliable and valuable tool to help us keep in touch with those we left at home. In fact, the boost experienced by the above mentioned technologies is so impressive that even people who are separated by a continent can be parts of more than satisfactory communication.

From mobile phones to Internet facilitated means we have arrived at a particular pattern combining them both: a pattern of mobile video upload which associates the speed and quality of Internet services to the video features of cameras or of the many mobile phone services. This device has taken the form of an upload video site, where members can upload pictures, either from their mobile phones or from their video cameras, so that their loved ones should actually be able to have an accurate image about what’s new in their life.

An upload video site, where confidentiality of the pictures shared is maintained (pictures should be available only at the level of the people targeted by the sender of the pictures) and where uploads are possible even from mobile phones, is, however, a somewhat singular object, at least for now. Moreover, finding the upload video site you can trust can be a rather difficult task; one guarantee that privacy terms are complied with is to browse through such a site and look for a privacy policy. You can be sure that privacy terms will not be evaded on a site like HotClips.mobi, because this is, above all, a site targeting family relations and the positive encouragement of closeness of these family relations.

How is it possible for an upload video site to improve a closeness that seemed shattered by distance? Just think about the significance that pictures have. A film of you and the friends you have made in the country where you work (or where you study) is as depictive as the e-mails you send. In fact, it is more eloquent. A mobile video upload can say more about the spontaneity of the moments you share with those left at home than any e-mail you have sent. Your voice and your face are there. The same, your parents, other relatives or friends can communicate with you through the same channel. You can send unique, loving messages by means of a mobile video upload. It is not closeness which is shattered, but rather it is distance the one which is overcome. The feeling created is a matchless one: togetherness. Of course, it was togetherness you were looking for. This is the feeling, the single, natural feeling able to prevent alienation. Families from different, remote places are brought together by a simple mobile video upload.

Worried that a lower bandwidth Internet connection couldn’t keep up with the video format you are uploading? An AVI format might be indeed too demanding for the speed of such a connection, but a reliable upload video site will also “cooperate with” a RealVideo format and with a QuickTime format, and, as a matter of fact, with other types of video format (MPEG and Shockwave included). However, keep in mind that a lower bandwidth Internet connection will result in the poorer quality of the film streamed over the Internet. With a broadband/high-speed connection there will no need of similar worries. In this case, all that you care about is that the upload video site is adequate for uploading the type of video format specific to your mobile phone or video camera.

Moreover, there are possibilities of converting mobile phone video formats (such as 3GP) into AVI or MPEG formats, so you don’t need to tantalize yourself over the manner in which you should deal with a mobile video upload. There are generous resources of software able to operate such a conversion; the only thing you should be concerned about is that such software should be, at the same time, freeware and free of spyware. With several reviews on different types of software you can be certain you are doing the right thing. In the end, a mobile video upload does not require the skill of a scientist; it can be done, practically, by anybody who has ever dealt with mobile phones and with the Internet. And remember that such an upload video site remains a reliable tool, a stable bridge between different countries, or different continents for that matter; it is the channel that builds a connection between people in Canada on one side, for instance, and people in India, on the other side, crossing by means of an Internet stream over the continent of Europe and bringing remote locations closer.

How do I start writing software for mobile phones?

Mobile phones meaning GSM phones, and software meaning application software. I have no clue on how to start writing. i.e languages, SDK, other requirements on my part. I only know the meaning of writing software, but the whole work of converting the ideas in my head to the tangible product is what I don’t know. I think I can learn it if I knew the works. I have ideas about some applications that I would like to try out. Thanks for any suggestions you may be able to give me.
The applications are network applications.

you should have a look at Mobile Processing it involves writing programs in the processing environment, and transferring them onto your phone.

What is the best Satellite Navigation software for mobile phones?

I am looking to purchase the new Nokia N95 in a couple of weeks which comes complete with in-built GPS. But what is the best sat-nav software to use on a mobile?

Cheers.

I would go for Tom Tom because of the ease of new maps and add ons, plus it is so easy to use.

However the Nokia Smart2Go software is available and free so it is a tough call.

I would say try the Nokia offering also but if it doesn’t suit invest in Tom Tom as its the best

Comparing UK Mobile Phone Tariffs – Defeating the Demon

Whether it’s your first mobile phone purchase or even if you’re an old hand at it – being able to compare the right mobile phone tariff from the hundreds that are available can be a daunting experience.  Free Software is now available that allows the user to input a calling pattern usage which in turns results in a easy to read output.  This details cost per month and even how many minutes and sms remain unused.

Hundreds of Mobile Phone Tariffs?

Having checked the tariff database of its mobile phone tariffs section, there are over 200 tariffs (including variants). With the fairly recent introduction of 18 and 24 month’s contracts, the Networks are trying to entice the customer to increase lock-in contracts. The benefits of accepting these extended contracts often includes extra minutes, reduced line rental and possibly extra texts as opposed to its 12 month counterpart. Therefore, where there was once just one tariff name, there are often 2 or three.

Does The Handset Really Matter?

Yes, if you really need email on the go, bluetooth and all the other gizmos that are available with the latest handsets.  However, because alot of us just want to talk and text, you can use the software to identify the cheapest options then search the internet for handset and mobile network reviews.

Tariff Calculator

So, back to comparing all the choices available. The Mobile Phone Tariff Calculator is a free downloadable piece of software and is executed as any other normal piece of software. Tariffs from O2, Vodafone, Three (3g), Orange and Virgin Mobile are included in the database which is downloaded automatically everyday.  The user simply inserts their calling pattern and usage into the appropriate spaces in the calculator and submits for calculation to take place.

Insert The Number of Minutes and SMS into the Appropriate Boxes

calculator input screen

For example, the user inserts the number of minutes, sms, landline calls they use, to which network and at what time of the week (day, evening, weekend) for a one month period. Once submitted, the calculator systematically calculates the user’s pattern against each tariff to produce the results. It can sort either by lowest monthly cost or lowest cost for the whole contract length. Ultimately, the output lets you know what the bill will be and how many minutes and texts you have remaining (if any at all).

The Boring Bit About Proportioning

To try and give an accurate calculation as possible, the program was written to correctly proportion all the calls evenly. So, for example, let’s assume you called an O2 and Vodafone mobile for 100 minutes in the day and a landline for 100 minutes too, it would be unreasonable to expect that you called all the O2 calls before the Vodafone and landline.

Using the scenario above, let’s assume the calculator was calculating a tariff that offered 100 inclusive anytime minutes per month. Due to the proportioning part of the software, the O2, Vodafone and landline charges would be for 66.6 minutes each (since 33.3 from each would be included as part of the inclusive minutes). Simplistic, but I’m sure you get the idea.

There are other bits and bobs that the calculator allows you to do.  But, since it’s free and easy to use, it would be easier just downloading the Mobile Phone Tariff Calculator Software and compare all the mobile phone tariffs yourself.  Remember, cheapest isn’t always best.  You should always check for reviews of the network and handset you’re considering.
